4Qs for Q4 — Kelford Labs Daily
Always know what to say.
Are you struggling to come up with Q4 marketing content?
Like LinkedIn videos, homepage copy, newsletters issues, or blog posts?
Here are four questions to ask yourself first, before you start creating:
1) If someone could buy from anyone else, why would they still choose to buy from you?
In short, what do they need to be confident and certain that you can do for them?
(For example, for my customers, they need to know I can always help them know what to say.)
2) What can you create almost instantly, almost infinitely?
As in, do you love talking on camera? Are you a super fast writer?
Do you have tons of process documentation you could repurpose?
What do you have an endless supply of that you could draw from?
(For me, I think by writing, so I’ve got hundreds of thousands of words to repurpose and create with.)
3) When does your audience need you most?
In their day, month, year, or season, what’s happening that makes them need you in particular?
What event, phase, or challenge are they currently going through?
(For my clients, that’s wanting to end the year on a marketing high note.)
4) Where is your audience, or where do they go, when they realize they need help from someone like you?
That might be a trade publication, or Reddit, or TikTok, or Google.
(For my audience, that might be various newsletters they subscribe to—like this one—and/or LinkedIn.)
With these questions answered, all you have to do is reference their need and its urgency—and demonstrate your credibility—in your content, and then place it in those places.
When you know for what and for whom you’re making your content, it basically creates itself.
Because if you liked this post, you liked this process.
All I did was follow it.
