It takes more than selling to do great marketing.

When someone says, “If I can just get a meeting, I can sell,” what I hear is, “I can’t sell unless I get a meeting.”
Marketing is about demonstrating value at a distance. Demonstrating value in a meeting is sales.
And marketing can only get you more sales if you’re able to demonstrate your value more effectively, from further away.
It’s great that you can sell in every meeting.
But marketing takes more than that.
It takes being able to sell without any meeting at all.
