Daily Lab: Your marketing is your work
“What marketing can I do that would make me even better at what my customers value most?”
Instead of asking, “What marketing can I do to attract customers?”, ask, “What marketing can I do that would make me even better at what my customers value most?”
Because marketing is all about demonstrating value at a distance.
So instead of just talking to people about what you do, demonstrate it in a way that makes you better at what you love doing most, which your best customers value above everything else.
Can you refine your ideas by blogging about them?
Can you improve your process by making videos about it?
Can you provide even better customer service by creating an FAQ podcast?
Don’t think of marketing as something you do, over there, to get new customers over here.
It’s something you’re always doing, always demonstrating.
So make sure it’s helping you do what you do best, even better.
