How to never be wrong — Kelford Labs Daily
Never market.
There’s a simple way to make sure your marketing messages are never wrong.
Here’s what you need to do:
Never leave the feedback phase.
Spend all your time “validating” your idea without ever trying to sell it.
Because, as long as you never put anything out into the market, nobody can ever reject it. Nobody can ever decline your offer. Nobody can ever ignore you.
And a lot of aspiring entrepeneurs make a home here.
They get stuck in the comforting, comfortable phase of asking for feedback and getting told what they want to hear.
Of course, the one small problem is that if you never actually put your messages into the market, you can never succeed either.
Because the only feedback that truly counts is customer feedback. Everything else is speculative—directional at best.
But an actual encounter with an actual prospect will tell you more than any amount of non-customer feedback ever could.
The only way to know if your messages work is if they work. By creating content, making yourself findable, and paying attention to how prospects and clients respond.
If you want to avoid being wrong, all you have to do is avoid marketing.
But if you want to succeed, you’ve got to get your messages out there.
It’s the only way.
