What could you say now?

Is your new content old? — Kelford Labs Daily

How old is your “newest” marketing content?

For some of you it might be quite recent, maybe even in from past few days or week (and if that’s you, feel free to skip this newsletter today).

But, for some others, I suspect your “newest” piece of marketing content is actually quite old.

When I meet an entrepreneur who’s struggling to keep up with content, I usually guess that their last blog, newsletter, or post on their business’s LinkedIn profile is at least 18 months old.

So, what about yours?

What year does the copyright notice in your website’s footer say, for instance?

If our content isn’t current, we’re implying that our expertise isn’t either.

Remember: marketing is about demonstrating our value at a distance, so what do out-of-date examples demonstrate other than out-of-date expertise?

Take a moment today and think about this:

If you had to tell a prospect about something you’re working on now, something you’re currently doing (and how you’re doing it), what would you talk about?

What would you say?

And could you be saying it now in your content?
